Cyber Ghost Servers
It seems like Cyberghost has decided to focus on OpenVPN only and as such all of their packages are based on this protocol. Perhaps not a bad choice to focus in on providing just one solution, but it does seem a bit limited compared to other providers.
Cyber Ghost Performance
The performance recorded from using Cyberghost via the client for Windows provided average results as expected. Most video streaming resulted in standard quality with a small amount of buffering (normal when using VPN). Overall we are pretty satisfied with the speed results without being blown away. Please not that the 6 Mbit/s service is restricted to Premium Clients only.
Cyber Ghost Compatibility
Cyberghost provide a custom client for Windows XP (32 or 64 Bit), Windows Vista (32/64 Bit) or Windows 7 (32/64 Bit) where as the OpenVPN service can be used for Linux, Mac and Android.
Conclusion on the CyberGhost VPN Review
All in all we an ok experience with Cyberghost. However, it is hard to find an argument to select them over Hide My Ass who provides more protocols, locations and client software for both Mac and PC for the same price. Also we are not fans of the data limits and throttling. A VPN service is supposed to give you freedom and not impose new restrictions.
